How do I know you’re the right photographer for your needs?
Before anything is scheduled, I offer a complimentary phone consultation at a time convenient for you. This will give us a chance to connect so that I can learn a little more about you and what you’d like from the photoshoot. I’ll also be able to answer any questions you have and familiarize you with how I’ve approached photoshoots in the past. Together, we can figure out the next steps you can take and get a better idea of whether my services are a match for your needs.
I’m actually kind of camera-shy...can you help?
Yes! In fact, my number one priority is providing you a safe, compassionate space where you are free to be yourself without judgment. A large percentage of my clients originally came to me describing themselves as camera-shy -- but they invariably discover at their own pace that the camera is not a central entity to be feared or revered -- it’s just there to capture their own individuality and ensure that treasured memories aren’t lost! No matter what, I work only within your comfort zone, and you always remain in-control.
What's your photography niche? What's your style?
It’s up to you! What are you aiming for? Typically though, my portrait photography style tends to lean towards artful storytelling with nuance-capturing impressionism. Moreover, I take a collaborative and personal approach to photography, so that you are in the driver’s seat. My event photography is done in a tasteful, non-intrusive way that maintains the flow and harmony of the event, yet remains participatory, expressive, and inclusive. The result? A beautiful documentary-style “picture book” (so to speak) that will not overlook any wonderful moment!
Do you have any restrictions on what you will and won't photograph?
My style is exploratory, and I’m open to most anything, with the exception of violence or anything explicit.
I love your photos! Can I use the photos on your website?
Absolutely! The only thing I ask is that you credit my website when using my photos.
GENERAL SERVICE QUESTIONS
Do you have your own studio?
While I usually conduct photoshoots in natural environments or at your chosen location, studio photoshoots can be arranged if needed.
Do you provide makeup artists, props or wardrobes?
This depends on shoot, but I can make arrangements upon request. Just let me know what you’ll need well in advance so that I can ensure that I have everything that you’ll need.
Do you work with babies and children?
Yes! Check out my gallery of family portrait photography to get a glimpse of how the little ones contribute to magical memories. I strive to create a nurturing and easygoing environment in which they can play and explore at their own pace.
Can I recommend you to my friends?

Do you shoot at private events?
As long as I’m invited to the events, definitely! Whether you’re looking for wedding photography, engagement shoots, dinner party photography, holiday photos, Bar/Bat/B’nei Mitzvah photography, concerts, live music event photography, cause photography, business photography, graduation ceremonies, or anything else where the fun and celebration is taking place -- count me in!

I strongly believe photography is an art that should be as accessible and affordable as possible. While always remaining mindful of this, I strive to provide you value that far exceeds your investment. My goal is for my photography to help you achieve your goals and enhance your life, and I invest greatly in making that possible. I utilize only the best equipment, techniques and offerings when helping you create memories -- all while keeping my prices affordable. When should I book you for photography?
The earlier the better! For both portraits and events, it’s important to book at least a few weeks in advance, preferably sooner. This will help ensure greater availability to suit your schedule, as well as allow for more thorough preparation. Please be advised that during certain seasons, I book up especially quickly, so booking as soon as possible is highly recommended.
Do you charge extra for more people in the photoshoot?
Nope, the more the merrier!
What happens if I have to cancel or reschedule a shoot?
No worries! I realize that sometimes things happen, so I do my best to accommodate changes. If you need to reschedule due to reasons beyond your control, please reschedule no later than 24 hours before the scheduled shoot. Due to extensive preparation and investment I make prior to your photoshoot, cancellations are non-refundable. However, you’re welcome to reschedule for a time that works better for you, as long as I have at least 24 hours notice.
Why is a deposit necessary?
A deposit secures your photoshoot session, which helps reduce waiting lists, clarifies timeframes, and enables me to devote myself to preparing the photoshoot. Your deposit also allows me to invest in providing the very best when it comes to every detail of the shoot. The result? A much smoother process and photography of the uncompromising quality that you deserve.

BEFORE THE SHOOT
Where do your photography sessions take place?
While I’m based in the San Francisco Bay Area / Northern California, I’m a mobile, on-the-go photographer with a special fondness for travel! Tell me where you want the photography, and we can discuss how to make it happen!
How can I best prepare for the shoots?
For the most part, you simply just show up! I’ll have everything set up and ready so we can begin!
However, I’d recommend taking a few moments to browse Pinterest for inspiration and ideas. Highlight images that can help provide a good sense of what you’re going for. Also, pick out clothes, accessories and signature pieces that matches what you envision with the photography.
Finally, getting a good night’s sleep and staying hydrated will help you glow from the inside out!
ABOUT THE PHOTO SHOOT
What does a typical photoshoot involve?
For portrait photography, we’ll first focus on creating a unique safe zone where you can comfortably express yourself creatively. At your own pace, you’ll be able to freely play around with ideas and explore different potential looks and themes. I’ll provide gentle guidance throughout, if needed, but mostly I’ll be busy capturing your moments!
For event photography, I’ll arrive to the event with all needed equipment and set up so that I can start right on time! I typically focus on capturing candid, defining moments in a non-intrusive way -- chronologically documenting all the nuances and details to create a magical story out of your event, documentary style. If formal group photos are desired, let me know, and I’ll make that happen!
What happens if we end up needing more time than we scheduled for the shoot?
Sometimes it takes a few extra moments to get all the details just right! Typically, for portrait photography, I can be flexible if time runs a little bit over. For event photography (including wedding/engagement photography, celebrations and live music photography), simply request a time extension if more time is needed. Unsure of how much time you should book for? No worries! During your complimentary phone consultation prior to booking, I’ll help you get a better idea of your optimal photoshoot length.
Can I bring a friend or family member to accompany me to the shoot?
Absolutely! Anything that makes you more comfortable and helps your spirit through is much encouraged!
AFTER THE SHOOT
How long does it take for my images to be edited, processed and ready?
It depends on the type of shoot and its extensiveness, but photos are typically ready within 1-4 weeks. On a case-by-case basis, I can offer additional rush services, if needed.
What is your policy on revisions and edits?
I want you to be truly delighted with your photos, and will do everything possible so that your pictures come out as you dreamed the first time! However, I’m happy to offer complimentary basic edits (such as color correction).
